DC Beat RR by 5 Wickets in a Thrilling IPL 2026 Clash

Delhi Capitals kept their IPL 2026 playoff hopes alive with an exciting 5-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals on 17 May 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. In a high-scoring encounter filled with momentum swings, DC successfully chased down a challenging target of 194 with four balls remaining.

Rajasthan Royals started aggressively after being asked to bat first by DC captain Axar Patel. Young sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi once again impressed everyone with a fearless knock of 46 runs off just 21 balls. Yashasvi Jaiswal provided a fiery start, while Dhruv Jurel played a crucial innings of 53 runs from 40 balls. RR looked set for a massive total when they reached 161/2.

However, the game changed completely after Mitchell Starc produced a sensational spell in the death overs. The Australian speedster picked up four wickets and triggered a dramatic collapse that stopped Rajasthan from crossing the 200-run mark. Lungi Ngidi also bowled brilliantly and supported Starc with important wickets. RR eventually finished at 193/8 in 20 overs. (NDTV Sports)

Rajasthan Royals fought back in the middle overs with wickets from Jofra Archer and Brijesh Sharma, making the match tense in the final few overs. But David Miller, Axar Patel, and Ashutosh Sharma handled the pressure calmly and guided Delhi Capitals home in 19.2 overs.
